If someone says something about you behind your back, it hurts. It's not fair, especially if what's said is untrue.

You have a couple of choices... you can get back at the person by spreading your own negative comments, confront the person, give the silent treatment, or simply let it go.


The choice you make says a lot about who you belong to: Christ or the world.


Jesus Himself was the victim of slander, injustice, and persecution. He knows what it's like to have friends and neighbors betray Him and say hurtful things. And yet, Jesus never struck out in anger or tried to get revenge.


Instead, He asked the Father to forgive them, and He taught His disciples to do the same.
